1. Our Privacy Commitment
SwapAnon was built around a core principle: you should be able to use a cryptocurrency exchange without surrendering your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes what minimal data we collect, why, and how it's handled.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We deliberately do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Government-issued identification documents
- Facial recognition or biometric data
- Phone numbers
- Persistent user profiles or accounts
- Cookie-based tracking or cross-site analytics
3. Data We Do Collect
To process your exchange, the following technical information is temporarily stored in your session:
- Deposit address: A unique address assigned to your order for receiving funds.
- Destination wallet address: The address you provide where converted funds are sent.
- Currency pair and amount: The currencies and amount involved in your exchange.
- Order timestamp: When the order was created, used for rate locking and order expiry.
This data is stored in your PHP session and associated with your Order ID. It is not linked to any persistent user identity.
4. Server Logs
Our web servers may generate standard access logs that include IP addresses, timestamps, and request URLs. These logs are used for operational purposes (debugging, abuse prevention) and are not shared with third parties. Log retention is minimized to the extent possible.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services in our operations:
- KuCoin API: Used to fetch live cryptocurrency exchange rates. No personal data is sent to KuCoin.
- QR Server (api.qrserver.com): Used to generate QR codes for deposit addresses. The deposit address is sent to this service to generate the QR code image.
- Google Fonts: Used to serve web fonts. Standard font requests are made to Google's servers.
6. Cookies
We use a single session cookie (PHP session cookie) to maintain your order state during an exchange session. This cookie does not contain personal information and expires when you close your browser. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics cookies.
7. Data Retention
Order session data persists only for the duration of your browser session. We do not maintain a long-term database of past orders linked to user identities. Once your session ends, order data is no longer accessible.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process, but we are structured to have minimal data to disclose in such circumstances.
9. Security
We implement reasonable technical measures to protect the data we do collect. All connections to our service use HTTPS encryption. Deposit addresses are randomly selected and unique per order.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed at persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
